Freedom of Association in the Middle East and North Africa Region

This report focuses on the right to freedom of association of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that advocate for the protection of human rights in 10 countries that the Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa (ROMENA) engages with closely.1 The report aims to stimulate reflection and dialogue on ways to enhance the promotion, enjoyment and protection of the human right to freedom of association, and to encourage States and civil society to work together for coordinated and collaborative human rights action.

Law 105 in Lebanon on the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared

The Families of the Disappeared and relatives of victims of enforced disappearance are also victims.

This video looks into the mechanism to help them search for the truth in Lebanon: The implementation of Law 105 and the activation of the National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared contributes to the establishment of an independent mechanism to investigate past, current and future cases with the aim of achieving justice.
