UN Human Rights Treaty Body Capacity Building Programme launched two initiatives on #faith4rights in #Beirut. The first initiative is a fully fledged university diploma on #faith4rights that will start officially on 1 December 2023 at the university. The university diploma will involve 7 courses equivalent to 21 credits in addition to 9 credits for academic research that will be prepared by the students. The first batch will involve 15 students from the region. USJ will deliver 5 courses while OHCHR will deliver 2 courses as part of the university diploma.

The second initiative is an elective course on #faith4rights that will be part of a Masters’ programme on peace and non-violence at AUNOHR University. The first round of the course will be implemented in Beirut from 2 to 9 December 2023. It will involve around 25 students from the region.

These two initiatives adopted the OHCHR faith4rights framework and are based on the 18 commitments of the faith4rights toolkit developed by OHCHR.
